I hope that Vicki wasn't going back as far as Private Matter for her quotes, so far they've all been from BOB, so I think it will be OK to to mention this one. It isn't an exact quote, I am just paraphrasing a scene that sticks out in my mind when I think of John and women. I keep thinking back to that first night in the brothel with Nessie. John thought he could do it, he felt a tiny flame of desire lick up his thighs, drew her against him, after all he'd paid for it, but she was a person, and not the person he desired. He just kissed her shoulder gently and went back to sleep. Sigh, I've often wished that could have been me. I know it's weird, after all I am a married older lady with kids, but I have a thing for John. Man, do I have a Lord John thing, too! Yes, it's something about his respect and genuine liking for women, and, as Jessie noted, the fact that he admires female intellect, character, and strength. But it's still also connected to the fact that his own depth of character, wit, strength, honor, and charm, make him pretty devastatingly sexy to me as well.
