- LOL! Do you think that part of the appeal of this character - - at least for women readers who really dig him - - is that we all harbor this mini-fantasy of being his one exception? Not that we want to "cure" him of his homosexuality, but that there's this little voice going, "maybe just the one brief mad fling...??" *BEG* And then I remember how appealing Lord John's charming friendships with women are, and realize there's something more special about that.
