一部要跑出維多利亞港的電影自然多了商業上的計算，USD$30 million budget 的電影總不能從香港及大陸市場回本；況且如果拍出來的又是預計中的周星馳電影，那又好像沒突破了。不境周星馳也老了，或許要他用現在的心境和外表去演以往的周星馳式電影，那味道已不同了，觀眾也許會更難接受。

因為周星馳，大家就心理上太著意"去看一部笑片"，<功夫> 主要是一套功夫片，不是一套以笑料為主的電影。

如果周星馳及電影公司是聰明的話，<功夫> 就應該不會有續集，不是<功夫> 不好看，明白商業因素的人便會明白其原因。
