I do not care what Britney Spears is doing or not doing for that matter.

If you think OJ is innocent- raise your hand.

If the jena 6 were white and has beaten up a black kid... do you think there would protestors in the streets?

1. COWS

2 THE CONSTITUTION

3. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

ON COWS

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls, but they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give them all a cow.

ON THE CONSTITUTION

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq, why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it's worked for over 200 years and we're not using it anymore.

ON THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse........
You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery", and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians -- it creates a hostile work environment

So if the USgovernment determines that it is against the law for the words"under God"to be on our money, then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments"are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the "US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as
well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives
to not have to worry about getting home for the"Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact.... I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....

What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected
officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions"
and begin, once again, to represent the "majority"
of ALL of the American people.

SO BE IT...........

Please Dear Lord,
Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!

'Amen' and 'Amen'
Touche!

September 2006
EXCLSUIVE: BANK ROLLERS
Band's financial documents found in a box of crockery bought at an auction
By Amy Devine

A BARGAIN-HUNTER was stunned to find legal papers belonging to 1970s superstars The Bay City Rollers in a box of crockery.

The woman discovered confidential documents signed by the tartan-clad rockers as she unpacked cut-price kitchenware.

The papers, including a number relating to the Rollers' controversial finances, show how the relationship between band members deteriorated before they split in the late 1970s.

Their new owner last night spoke of her shock at uncovering the find as she rummaged in a box a friend had bought for just £3 at a house clearance auction.

The 50-year-old woman, who asked to remain unnamed, said: "I was gobsmacked when I realised who these papers belonged to."

The first of several sheets is a legal letter to the Royal Bank of Scotland from the band dated September 8 1977.

Falk AdSolution

It asks that the bank give manager Tam Paton and band member Derek Longmuir permission to sign cheques and make withdrawals from the band's accounts.

The letter - sent a year before cracks began to appear in the band - also states that if anyone "ceases to be a member of the firm" the continuing partners can carry on as normal.

The document was signed by all five Rollers - Eric Faulkner, Stuart Wood, Derek and Alan Longmuir and Les McKeown, as well as Paton.

But in November 1979, a letter from the group's lawyers requests McKeown and Paton's names be removed as signatories from the account.

By then, McKeown had left and the remaining members had sacked Paton as their manager.

The band - famed for hits including Shang-A-Lang - also asked that two of the remaining members' signatures be requested for any withdrawals.

The woman who found the papers said: "I couldn't believe someone had left these documents at the bottom of a box of crockery.

"A friend of mine paid £3 for the box at a house clearance sale and gave it to me for a rummage.

"There were several items, including a potato masher, and these papers tucked away with some newspapers at the bottom.

"I was never a Rollers fan myself, but this gives an insight into their lives, and might be worth something.

"The signatures alone sell for £50 a pop on the internet.

"It's obviously been in a house that the auction company has cleared out."

None of the Rollers has been paid royalties for more than 25 years and persistent questions have been asked about the fate of their millions.

McKeown has confronted Paton, who was jailed for three years in 1982 for sex offences involving teenage boys, but he denies any knowledge of the lost fortune.

After Paton was sacked by the band, he became a property tycoon and is said to be worth around £5million.

He said last night: "The Rollers were in control of their own money. Derek Longmuir was kind of the main man and signed things on behalf of the band.

"When it comes to the question of the Rollers' money, I think they spent it."

I have to say something, first it was the cartoons and now it is the Pope... if Muslims really want the rest of the world to believe they are a reasonable peace loving people they need to do 2 things- First, don't let anyone else read the Koran which makes it very clear Islam is NOT a peace loving religion and Second, stop acting like the stereotype. Subject: New BCR Fan MySpace site!

Author:

Date Posted: 04:58:12 09/05/06 Tue
(70-57-22-137.hlrn.qwest.net/70.57.22.137)

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've created a new MySpace page expressly for BCR Fans! It's a multi-purpose site: one, to give folks an easy way to sign up for the BCR Fan Database, two, a place where announcements can be posted regarding fan fests, upcoming
gigs, and any other BCR news that comes along (hint: subscribe to the blog to get these updates!) and three, a place for fans to find each other! It's still in it's embryonic stages tho - I need to pretty it up a bit!

Those of you already on my MySpace friends list should find an invite in your box soon! If not, please stop by the new site at http://www.myspace.com/baycityrollerfans and add "BCR Fans" as a friend! Don't forget to subscribe to the blog!

MySpace is a FREE site, and it's easy to register for a FREE account if you don't already have one. I've been a member since January and I haven't had any issues i.e. spam, etc. - so don't be afraid to sign up if you haven't already!! We've got a steadily growing group going on there!

Those of you on other sites/lists/message boards, please pass this around and let all the other fans know! I'll be counting on you guys as well to keep me informed about any new information (i.e. fan gatherings, gigs, etc.) that should be posted on the site! I've got a post up now with a bunch of the key BCR website/message board links - if you notice any key sites missing, please let me know!

Hopefully this will help us locate even more "new" fans in the online world!

Thanks!
-Connie

As a survivor of Lymphoma, I know that if my cancer returns to certain degrees, I would be a candidate for stem cell transplant. Presently donated adult,or even your own stem cells, are used in this transplant process. The veto is to prohibit the development of embrionic stem cell transplant. These cells have not yet been researched to a level to use as stem cell transplant. The bill regulates that the present research would come from embryo's that are presently in storage. (vetoed by the President) An embryo is an egg that has been fertilized and is less than 12 weeks developed (the first trimester of development.) After this would be developed as usuable in research then it would move to the cells from aborted babies. An aborted 3rd term baby has a value of over $22,000 presently for body parts to be used in transplant or research. The abortion business in high paying.

I will as a possible future stem-cell transplant needer, refuse stem-cell transplant from an embryo or aborted fetus.

As a former fetus I am against abortion. They were in the process of aborting me to save the life of my mother when I suddenly was born. My mother had prayed we'd both be saved as they put her under. They were going to chop me up in pieces--that's the way they did it back then. But I suddenly shot out. They had already twisted my legs and had the knife coming down to cut off my legs when I was born. They said as a result I would never walk.

I wrote this so you would understand what this bill was about. According to Ps. 138: 18-24 Life begins at conception and God formed us. Embryo's are fertilized eggs that have been through the process of conception.

Hope this helps people understand the Biblical Christian view of this subject.

We should thank God that our present President has strong feelings about this issue.

Delores Stone.

The Congressional Connector

Week of July 17 - 21, 2006

President Vetoes Stem Cell Research Bill – House Veto Override Attempt Falls 51 Votes Short
On July 19, President Bush issued the first veto of his presidency on a path-breaking medical research bill approved by strong majorities of both the House and Senate, the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act [H.R. 810]. The legislation would have expanded federal funding for enormously promising embryonic stem cell research using embryos from fertility clinics that would otherwise be discarded. Advocates for the legislation have said that embryonic stem cell research has the potential to unlock the doors to treatment and cures for diseases like diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and spinal cord injuries. Speaking in favor of the bill, Rep. Levin said, “This institution is often called the people’s House and today I ask my colleagues to stand in the shoes of the millions of people dealing with incurable or debilitating diseases.... We can never guarantee the results of scientific research, but without it we guarantee there can be no results.” A majority of the House voted to override the President’s veto, but the effort fell 51 votes short of the two-thirds majority required under the Constitution.

Oh Trisha, YES, that will certainly "do." I've never seen that picture. I came here to say "I'm waiting" on the pic, but that was worth the wait. Did you know that today is my birthday? ;)

CHAPLAIN KLINGENSCHMITT ANNOUNCES HUNGER STRIKE IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE, 20 Dec 2005.

Text of Chaplain's speech:

"During these holidays people practice many diverse faiths, but it seems the war against Christmas has taken a turn for the worse, and now it's become a war against the name of Jesus himself.

I am a Navy Chaplain that may soon be kicked out of the Navy because I pray publicly in Jesus name.

Admirals from the Pentagon, claiming to speak for the President of the United States, have already stripped me of my uniform and forbid me to pray in Jesus name in public unless I'm wearing civilian clothes.

The Chief of Navy Chaplains told me in writing that if I pray publicly "in Jesus name" that I'm denigrating other faiths. That same week he told the Washington Post "we never tell chaplains how to pray" because we don't want to violate their First Amendment rights. His public statements and private statements contradict.

The Naval Chaplain School teaches mandatory lectures to all junior chaplains, prohibiting Muslim chaplains from praying publicly to Allah, Jewish chaplains can't pray in Hebrew to Adonai, Roman Catholic chaplains aren't allowed to pray "in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" and evangelicals can't pray "in Jesus name." Everybody is taught to pray only to God and say "Amen." Senior chaplain evaluators with clipboards criticize our prayers.

Onboard my ship, I asked my Commanding officer's permission to take turns and "share the evening prayer" with many diverse faiths, allowing my Muslim Sailor to pray to Allah, my Jewish Sailor to pray in Hebrew to Adonai, my Roman Catholic Sailor to pray "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" and I'd just pray "in Jesus name" every fourth night. He said "No Chaps, I don't like that. You keep saying the prayer, but you pray Jewish prayers from now on." I obeyed him and prayed only from the Psalms for 8 months.

But the Director of the Naval Chaplain school told my Commanding Officer I was an "immature chaplain" because I claimed a right to pray "in Jesus name," so my CO wrote to a Navy board to end my career saying "Chaplain Klingenschmitt over-emphasized his own faith system" (i.e. in his sermons and prayers).

Now unless a Navy judge intervenes, my active duty career will be terminated next month, my family will be evicted from military housing, I'll have NO retirement after 14 years of award-winning fitness reports, because I pray "in Jesus name."

General George Washington prayed "in Jesus name." And since the American Revolution chaplains have been allowed to pray according to their civilian bishop's faith, not the government's faith. Since 1860, US Code Title 10 Section 6031 has mandated, "An officer in the Chaplain Corps may conduct public worship according to the manner and forms of the church of which he is a member."

But only in 1998 did the Navy establish a brand-new policy telling us if we must pray "in Jesus name" then we "ought to exclude ourselves from participation as the prayer-giver."

65 Navy Chaplains have been involved in a class-action lawsuit since 1999 because of things like this, but Navy IG found "nothing wrong" so Navy JAG spends millions of taxpayer dollars defending religious discrimination.

As a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, I'm directly appealing to my Commander-in-Chief, President George W. Bush, to sign an executive order enforcing the law that's been on the books since 1860. Now 160,000 Americans and 74 Congressmen have asked the President to sign an Executive order, not to establish new law, but just to enforce the law on the books since 1860, but the President has yet to lift his pen.

I find it ironic that Franklin Graham was allowed to pray "in Jesus name" at the President's first inaugural, but now Admirals in the Pentagon who claim to represent the President are trying to take away my uniform for praying "in Jesus name." Even Senator Clinton

supports me, and has written a letter of concern on my behalf.

Recently the Air Force adopted similar guidelines, and now forces all their chaplains to pray "non-sectarian" prayers. But this government-sanitized prayer policy violates the First Amendment, and the Supreme Court has already ruled that "non-sectarian" prayers are unenforceable.

Today I'm beginning a hunger strike, and this communion bread will be my last meal, until the President of the United States gives me back my uniform, and lets me pray publicly "in Jesus name."

Please sign the Executive Order Mr. President, and please come and share communion with me. I'll be standing prayer vigil outside the White House (Lafayette Park) every night this week at 6 pm, and I will be praying for our President, in Jesus name, if anyone cares to join me. I'll also take media interviews every day at 10 am Tuesday through Saturday.

Our troops sacrifice their lives overseas to give religious freedom to foreigners, but here in America they can't even hear the diverse faith messages of their own chaplains. They deserve basic religious freedoms, and this isn't about me, its about all our Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines. We must welcome a diversity of religious _expression in our military. Mr. President, please enforce the law. Sign the Executive Order. Take turns and share the prayer."

Please call the White House at 202-456-1414 and ask the President to sign an Executive Order protecting all military chaplains' right to pray according to their faith.

Reel opportunity for ex-Roller

FORMER Bay City Roller Nobby Clark is planning to fly to the United States to give his input to a film about the band's early success.

A screenplay has already been written and the former Roller is making his way to Virginia to look at the production company's proposals for the movie.

Subject: From a Mississippian

What I have seen since Katrina:

The poor and the wealthy hurt by the storm.

Black, white, Hispanic, Oriental and Indian all hurt by the storm.

Christian people giving, giving, giving.

Churches going all out to minister in Jesus' name.

Neighbors going door to door helping one another.

Thugs and hoodlums going door to door looking for someone vunerable.

Ice and water being fought over as police tried to keep the peace.

People coming up from New Orleans taking over empty houses because shelters are full.

Out of town volunteers coming with food and staying for now a week still serving it.

The Churches all over this part of the country doing what Christians do in a crisis.

FEMA doing a wonderful job in getting help to us.

The Red Cross doing a great job in the shelters.

The Salvation Army doing a great job in the community.

Four Hundred crewmen from everywhere bring back the power to our homes, churches and businesses.

Lines at service stations a block to a mile long.

National Guardsman patrolling the streets of Mccomb along with Kentucky policemen protecting us from the hoodlums and thugs of McComb, Pike County and New Orleans (the most dangerous city in the world before Katrina.)

Drug dealers working outside shelters.

Doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel working tirelessly, even sleeping in the hospital to do the job God called them to do.

WHAT I HAVE NOT SEEN;

The ACLU setting up a feeding line.

People for the American Way helping in the shelters.

The NAACP doing any work whatsover.

The American Atheist organization serving meals in the shelters.

Jesse Jackson directing traffic at the gas stations.

I could go on but you get my message. Its the Christian people with love and compassion who do the work.

The gripers in Congress should come on down and get in line to pass the water and the ice. Are you listening Hillary, Chuck, Teddy and all of the sorry loafers we call Senators and Congressmen. They don't have a clue as to what this life is all about here on the Gulf Coast.

Boy I feel better now.

Regards,

Sharon Giertz

I thought the days of childish bickering between Les and Ian fans was over but I didn't account for one person, who just loves to be the center of attention no matter how she gets it.

It has come to my attention that an interview from Ian has been posted on one of the Les lists. What Ian and Les say to and about each other is THEIR business. However, here are a few FACTS:

1. No one sounded "high and mighty" or "hypocritical" about anything regarding the Anaheim fest.
2. No one prayed for Les at the fest.
3. NOBBY CLARK had the attendees say "We love you, Les" to (in his words) 'break the roller curse.'
4. If you carefully read the article you can see that Ian is joking. I understand that he has said the same thing to Les' face.
5.Les and Ian have both publicly stated they don't have a problem with each other and in New Orleans Les went up to Wendy hugged her.

Stop trying to create trouble for people. Perhaps a therapist could help you determine why you have this need to try and start trouble or you could just get a life.

Oh and BTW this person is in the private prayers of several people along with Les and Pat.

Why is it all the morons have AOL anyway? So I will only post new messages fi there are any - once or twice a day I think. Hi everyone,

We've been receiving emails asking if prospective fest attendees can show up June 17 and or June 18 and pay for fest then and get in. Please note, as of now, there is NO on site registration that hasn't already been prepaid. You MUST PRE-pay in full to attend Don't Let The Music Die. Payments are due by June 12th via PAYPAL and June 7th via snail mail. Payment is now, $110.00. Please see the link below:

http://www.geocities.com/tartantwins2005/

If, for some unforeseen reason, we do allow any payments at Fest, which as of this date, we doubt we will, the cost will be $130.00. Cash in hand. At that time, we can't guarantee you will have a seat at a table or dinner. If we allow anyone in at the last minute we can only guarantee that you can come in after all paid attendees have entered the room and you will be able to enjoy the entertainment only.

Please understand, we have to prepay any and all meals as well as the room. As much as we'd love to open the doors and say, come one, come all, we can't. This is the best we can do.

Roll on,

The Planners

We still have some LARGE fest shirts left. They are white shirts with the fest logo in blue and black on the front. If anyone is interested, they are $15.00 each and money raised at this point will go to the University of Michigan Cancer Center. If we sell them all we can make a nice donation to them or maybe even a nice donation to 2 places. Please email us at the fest email bcr30@popstar.com OR my email pattyjo@email.com. THANKS

- Money Matters - "Attitude of Gratitude" -

"ByLine with Dan Betzer" Program #2037, Tuesday, July 24,2001-

"Attitude of Gratitude"

Hello again, this is Dan Betzer.

I came across a little town newspaper the other day called "The Orange Peel Gazette," and found this delightful article:

"Think gasoline is expensive? Put it in some perspective:

Diet Snapple at $1.29 a bottle comes to $10.32 per gallon. Lipton Iced Tea would be $9.52 per gallon and Gatorade $10.17 per gallon. Ocean Spray $33.60 per gallon, Vick's Nyquil $178.13 per gallon, Pepto Bismol $123.20 per gallon.

You know that little bottle of Wite-out (correction fluid) for which you paid $1.39? That would be $25,42 per gallon. Even Scope mouthwash is $84.48 per gallon. (I know a person who needs about three gallons per day.)

Now here's the real kicker: Evian water at $21.19 per gallon. For WATER!

So the next time you're at the pump, be glad our car doesn't run on Nyquil, Scope, or Wite-out. Or Evian water!"

We ought to be thankful for a lot of things. You know. I can actually remember as a kid in Missouri paying 19 cents for a gallon of gas. It's true. But I was working all weekend at a radio station for five bucks. So, let's put it in perspective. At the same ratio income versus the price of gasoline, I'd have to "float a loan" to fill my car today.

The Bible teaches us to have a thankful attitude on life. It's what a pastor friend of mine calls "the attitude of gratitude."

It might be a very helpful spiritual exercise for you today to list those things for which you truly can be grateful. You may be saying, "Yeah, Dan, but I have nothing to be grateful for." Well, you're going to be surprised when you start that list. I believe you'll say, "Hey, I do have blessings, don't I?"

Why, you'll whistle the whole time you're fill up your car.

Dan Betzer here and that's BYLINE.

For those of you who haven't heard yet. Les was involved in an accident last summer. He was charge with DUI, fleeing the scene and driving w/o insurance. He protested his innocence and then this month plead guilty... then withdrew it claiming his 'breathalizer' reading was false because he went home and... had a drink.

Pat McGlynn has reportedly been arrested for selling drugs.

I am stunned and saddened by the attacks this morning in London. Prayers for the people of London, tourists and family members who have been affected by this moronic and evil event, have been and continue to be said.

I just noticed that there have been over 36,000 hits on this board and only 4 people seem to post...

Do people really think that Tam has anything to do with Les' latest arrest?

Did you read Wayne's book?

Lucky Blonde

Two bored casino dealers were waiting at a craps table. A very attractive blonde woman arrived and bet 20 thousand dollars on a single roll of the dice.
She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude."

With that she stripped from her neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Mama needs new clothes!" Then she hollered, "Yes! Yes! I won! I won!" She jumped up and down and hugged each of the dealers. She then picked up all the money and clothes and quickly departed.

The dealers just stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?"

The other answered, "I don't know, I thought you were watching!"

Moral: Not all blondes are dumb, but all men are men

Thankfully, the bozos who tried another terror attack in London today screwed it up. So far I have heard of only one injury- I hope it was one of the bozos. They are just plain evil. Prayers are being said for London.

I don't know how my board was chosen to be graced with the rude email that was posted here, but I've removed it. 1)It contained offensive language 2) it sounds like a private disagreement which does not need to be aired on this or any other board 3)you posted it anonymusly- if you want to be a PITA use your name otherwise the planet will label you as a coward just looking to stir things up and dismiss you- even if your point is valid.

Have a nice day.

Sorry Trisha - those obscene messages were from LEAH FARLEY, that Canadian b*tch, who has some sort of problem with me.

Please dont hesitate to report her to Voy, as I have done, as she is causing me no end of trouble.

Thanks for listening.
