You really need to know how to I terpret the Bible. The passages you have spoken of all apply to the theocracy of Israel. The Hebrew also makes it clear it applies to males not females. People who use scriptures like this to justify harsh treatment of children simply do not know how to use the Bible. I mean, stoning a son to death is a cital offence in America so obviously that law does not apply in our society. I'm not against spankng in school when done in a reasonable fashion. I had my own tail lit up a few times! But I am against people arbitrarily quoting the Bible to justify harsh treatment of children as if God's will is punishment not love.
