Her 10-track self-titled debut album under Star Records has just been released. The diminutive Cebuana is now busy doing the rounds of malls to promote the album that features her soothing version of Roberta Flack's "Maybe" as the carrier single. Hopes are high that it can equal or surpass the success of her first hit, "Come In Out Of The Rain," also included in the album. Capacity crowd We chanced upon one of Sheryn's mini-concerts recently, and we were surprised to witness a capacity crowd one hour before the show started. The power belter was in her element during the mini-show, even trading jokes before a very appreciative audience. If this girl is thinking of another career path, she could easily pass muster as a comedienne! The crowd roared with laughter when she made fun of her "extra-small" size. "Umupo lang po ang nasa harapan, para makita ninyo ako (Those on the front row please sit so the rest can see me)," she told the crowd. Theme We were delighted to see her going through mermaid motions when she sang "Kailan Kaya," the theme from the fantaserye, "Marina." The crowd went wild when she sang her signature song, "Come In Out Of The Rain." Sheryn herself is surprised at the speed of her career's upward trajectory. The last time we talked to her, she was still smarting from her unexpected loss to Erik Santos. Sheryn's album gathers the best hitmakers in the music industry. Vehnee Saturno contributes two potential hits, "Sana'y Di Pangarap" and "Follow Your Dream," which sounds like it was composed specially for her.
