In reply to: eddie 's message, "Finding who is calling if they have thier # blocked from caller ID" on 01:03:20 08/14/06 Mon

from what I've seen the only "legal" way to check this info out is to get some kind of court order.... then ya can do a *57

in practice tech codes you request change over time because of the potential abuse of such knowledge, kind of like how before ya use to be able to dial 800myansi or something like that to figure out the phone number of the binding post ya had access to.... or using various codes

to check out the strength of your cell phone

another place ya might look thru is old phreaking articles

>I have someone making harrasing phone calls. calling
>and hanging up every 5 min. they come up as private on
>caller ID. is there a way to get the number to display
>or a special way to do a *69 on a blocked number.
>wondering if there is a code i can punch in on the
>phone or free software i can load on my PC and let the
>call come through that?
> Thank you for any suggestions.
