I understand that some men are fragile and thereby they allow others to control what they drive. It's sad, but it happens.
Minivans swallow everything that a SUV can, and have room left over. They also burn about half the fuel.
Contractors who need trucks and actually haul large amounts of stuff daily are the only excuse why a minivan wouldn't suffice. Fear of the stigma of the minivan is a non-issue for the "real" men.
