Music Updates and Showbiz Media News w/ Tidbits
TAX ISSUE UPDATE-
Regine was officially summoned to appear on the 19th of May before
the B.I.R. to present her side in writing. Most probably bring her
2 sisters, her business accountant and hopefully a good business
lawyer. Hopefully not any of the ones known to be working with
the person being linked to this latest half ligit/half media sham.

TWO Regines are currently facing court cases: Regine Velasquez and
Regine Tolentino. Aside from the BIR's accusation of tax evasion,
Regine V. has been sued by MaxiMedia to the tune of P13 million for
breach of contract. She's reportedly supposed to do an album with
French composer Michelle Legrand for them, but she backed out.
Regine's camp says much as she'd like to record said album for them,
she can't do so as Viva didn't allow her and she has an exclusive
contract with them.
"Gawin niya ang album sa MaxiMedia at Viva naman ang magdedemanda sa
kanya," says someone close to her.
In the case of Regine Tolentino, a businessman-politician named Celso
de los Angeles allegedly paid her in full for jewelry worth P8
million. But Regine has yet to give him the goods up to now. Regine
says she doesn't know why the man is making an issue out of it.
( 8 million?! Is that unreported income? You wonder why you don't
hear about the N.B.I. checking into this one, eh? -m.i.b. )

Naisahan ni Regine Velasquez ang media na nag-aabang sa kanya
sa NAIA para salubungin siya sa isyung tax evasion at estafa case
dahil narito na pala siya sa bansa last May 1 pa ng hatinggabi.
Expected ng media ay sa May 5 pa darating si Songbird
galing ng Los Angeles, pero iniba ni Regine ang flight at
scheduled arrival niya, May 1 at galing ng Hawaii ang kinuhang
light pabalik ng Pilipinas, at higit salahat, hatinggabi dumating
kasama si Pops Fernandez.
Kaya ang mga press na nakatanghod sa NAIA at nag-aabang
ng flight na galing Los Angeles sa May 5 ay tiyak na dilat ang mata
dahil walang Regine Velasquez na darating, hayun nasa Bulacan
na at kasalukuyang nanonood ng telebisyon para sa latest news
sa kaso niya.

COKE, Jollibee and Greenwich have pulled out ads from
top TV showbiz talk shows "The Buzz" and "S-Files."
The move was in response to a call of the country's leading
advertising agency for wholesome and responsible media content.
Also, GMA-7 is also suing THE BUZZ for something that has
to do with them using an image or footage that belonged to
them. But it doesn't sound too ligit.

manager who has some links to the media publicist of the

Hindi namin alam, na during the ASAP show, naaksidente pala si Martin
Nievera. Hinabol siya ng sangkatutak na fans nang pasakay na siya sa
kanilang service pabalik sa hotel after the show. Sa kasamaang palad
ay nahulog si Martin sa kanal at natusok ng lata ng softdrink
ang kanyang tuhod. Kaagad namang nagpunta sa doktor ang singer
para magpa-injection ng anti-tetanu.
LAS VEGAS HERE THEY COME-
Also, another artist directly linked to the media publicist
is being booked in LAS VEGAS - DESSA! After both Martin and
Lani M. was already. The booking contact of these shows is
the L.A. producer who was involved in the RV Visa incident.
Is this a despirate last attempt to get Regine's music friends
interested in another artist besides Regine? -A raised thought
but I doubt it could happen. Not for all the tea in china..
