Mc Donald’s and MTV Philippines, in cooperation with
Vicor Records and Gen Text, teamed up recently for the
search for this year’s biggest and only R&B talent, in a
competition billed as "The Next Big Thing," and as
expected it drew hundreds of hopefuls from all over
the country.
And last week, the five finalists were presented to the media.
They are Kristine Gonzaga, Zion Aquino, Abigail Camantique,
Patricia Gayle Dizon and Allan Silonga.
One of these hopefuls stands to win R250,000 in cash, a recording
contract from Vicor and a live dream concert performance series
together with today’s hottest singing stars to be produced by MTV
Philippines.
Globe Gentext subscribers can participate in the search and vote for
their favorite singers via text. They only have to watch "The Next
Big Thing" finalists in their mall tours. The "Next Big Thing"
finals night will be on Aug. 21, at the Market! Market! On Aug. 25,
The Next Big Thing MTV Awards Night" will be held at the Araneta
Coliseum.
