I have somewhat enjoyed the mid-term (as much as you can enjoy an exam) because it has forced me to stop and think about the different issues addressed in class and our readings. This process helps solidify the material in my mind, making it less likely that it is here today and gone tomorrow. I have found this class has also forced me to reeximine some of my stances on some of the issues and acknowledge that some of my preconceived notions may be incorrect. All of this is good.
