I trained there as a jet engine mechanic in 1985.
It was a neat place, a combination of very old military atmosphere and the usual young student population. Chanute produced many thousands of technicians down the decades, some of who are still in the Air Force. The aircraft collection was wonderful, even to a jaded mechanic like myself.
