Three more questions to add to the campfire.

1. What does WGS84 and NAD27 stand for? Which should you use on your recreational GPS?

2. The UTM system consistes of how many zones and at what longitude do they begin?

3. What does MGRS stand for? And what grid system is it similar to?

These are questions that will be covered in depth in the Advanced Land Navigation Class. These questions become more important for the GPS users as they learn their tool.

One question remains unanswered.

1. Why did Native Michigan Tribes fill their canoes with rocks and swamp them. (Hint, they did this in time of war)

Looking forward to your answers, as usual.
