Something like this happening never even crossed my mind. Conditions were crappy and I think we were dumbasses for skiing. It was 40 the day before, but froze to about 20 overnight, no new snow at all. So, basically the whole place was a luge run. I really don't know what happened, but it was really close to the bottom of the hill. I think I hit a hole or chunk of ice stuck to the hill in a turn and popped off a ski before I even hit the ground, then landed on it. I didn't think I was even hurt bad, so I popped on my ski and tried to go the rest of the way down, except my leg wouldn't work.
