Subject: Politics

Politics are an interesting animal; the discussions get heated, and can be about as bad as religion. Of course, religion is considered forever, while politics end when you die. Unfortunately, some of my more liberal friends look at politics emotionally, and almost like a religion. It's too bad, because the stuff that comes out of their mouths is so inflammatory, our friendship suffers. One friend, who left my work for another state, was visiting our TV station. I went in to say hi, and instead of saying Hi back, he attacked my about the Iraq war (this was last Spring). I stood there, stunned, then turned around and left, but went back into the room and said, "Nice to see you, too."

That happens a lot. Attention liberals of all walks of life: get over it and most of all, get over the fact that the government SHOULD NOT be giving out money, jobs, etc. That's called SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM. And don't try to tell me that works. The UK, pretty moderate/near-socialists are having a helluva time with their free health care, because of STDs. In France, Doctors are leaving; same with Canada.

Okay, now that that's over, can't we all just go out to dinner? :-)
