Why is it that liberals around the globe insist that George W. Bush out and out lied rather than he perhaps drew an incorrect conclusion, if in fact it was an incorrect conclusion? A conclusion arrived at by available intelligence, past history, and continued actions of a despotic maniacal leader. Is it that they are the ones that are lying? Is it that they want the U.S. to slide into the ashbin of history? Is it that they prefer despotic maniacal leaders over leaders that promote democracy and freedom? In my opinion the answers to all of these questions is an emphatic yes. Why else would they worry about whether Aristide retained his presidency that he acquired with the aid of significant election fraud. A man who reportedly ran the country with an iron fist, executing his enemies as if they were insignificant ants. The same holds true for defaming George W. Bush in support of Saddam Hussein. They are not concerned about the loss of innocent lives, for if they were they would have been concerned about the innocent lives Saddam took on a daily basis. They would have been concerned about the living that existeed in constant fear that they could be culled out of the population and tortured or killed at any moment, for any reason. They would remember the million plus innocent lives that were lost in the Iran/Iraq war, a war they remained silent about and continue to this day to ignore ever took place. They would not ignore that the oil for food and medicine program is turning out to have been a conduit for Saddam to rake off billions of dollars to subvert the program designed to lessen the hardship of the average Iraqi. With the scandal reaching all the way to the top of the U.N. A hardship proclaimed by those leaning to the left, that Iraqi suffering was a direct result of American imposed sanctions, while ignoring that those sanctions were supported by the entire U.N. for the sole purpose of disarming one of the world's madmen. They would rather believe the worst of George W. Bush rather than face the realities that their heroes are the real people they should be skeptical of.
