The blonde woman slept in the cold frozen room; no dreams or nightmares for those were long before extricated from her by the Gellman Process that the Organization developed. But even the process had not managed to disengage Nikita’s connection to the afterlife, as the presence of those who died before was stronger than her vital signs. Her eyes continued closed and her mind whirled until the handsome Michael who quietly watched her slumber, startled her. She hovered above dressed in a white flowing gown as she experienced an out of body occurrence while floating over her red clad resting body. She felt the air, she inspected the ceiling and finally she touched the handsome man who stood before her.

She greeted him, “Michael!” And then she asked, “Where am I?”

The room around her changed dramatically as it turned into the attic she spent her adolescence in. The familiar surroundings appeased the woman’s disquietude; she sighed and willingly followed the man to a day bed she used to nap on. Her hands stroked the brocade fabric that covered the antique and she wallowed in the memories that rushed her mind, while Michael melancholically observed her actions.

Michael said, “We chose this setting understanding that it would bring you comfort.”

Nikita turned to the handsome man, her spirit lifted and she sarcastically quipped, “So when are you going to parade by me all those who came before?”

He answered and placed a hand on her lap, “This is not a joke; this is your day of reckoning Nee-kee-tah.”

Nikita didn’t like being admonish by the handsome man so she quipped adamantly, “Let’s make one thing clear Michael, I truly don’t care what you think I am doing here. I have an agenda and it involves going home and taking you with me.”

She raised her hands and eyes to the Heavens while speaking with her distinct Australian inflection. Michael watched her and thought this woman was no slouch but she was naïve and the impassive speech that followed the flamboyant display of dramatics served to proof his point. There was no getting around it, Nikita had a purposeful plan and even the Heavens were not going to deter her focused goal, even if the plan was predestined as everything in our lives is.

Speaking to the open space, her recitation directed at no one in particular, she proceeded in a most eloquent fashion, “Are you listening? I want to go home and bring Michael back and I’ll tell you why…”

“I think you made your first mistake bringing Michael here now. Or is this a test just like all those others involving our free will? You are the king of clever who eventually always takes us by the hand. So now I’m thinking you’ve known all along that Michael was needed on Earth to help your ship get back on course.”

After her compassionate discourse she started her closing arguments directing the following remarks to Michael, “I now realize that you also knew of my plans. Who was I kidding, you were here with God.”

Michael didn’t blink in her direction although his heart was filled with pride for this woman who continued, “I believe in you and trust you and Michael damn it, I also need you.”

Michael smiled and the man who looked like Jones entered the room, Nikita turned to face him and addressed him, “It is an honor to meet you in person, I do love you and know that you are always with me.”

Mr. Jones’ doppelganger laughed, “The irrepressible Nikita – I love you also, now go ahead my daughter continue.”

“Alright”, she genuflected and went on feeling a blush cover her beautiful features, “I strategies this mission with the help of a repented Madeline, realizing that the gift you gave me of speaking to the spooks would get me here, exactly where I wanted to be.”

The Deity laughed and the corners of Michael’s lips turned while Nikita continued, “We need Michael down there, this is not the time to take our best asset and exile him in lala land.” Again a grin and she went forth, “Your Planet is in a hell of a mess! Have you noticed that or are you too busy worrying about the life forces in other Planets?”

The Deity laughed out loud and Nikita mumbled winking at Michael, “Well you can’t blame a girl for trying; you knew I needed to know if ET made it home.” Again laughter, this time even Michael smiled.

The Deity’s thunderous voice vibrated, “So are you telling me you need Michael more than I do?"

“You bet, but I am not the only one that needs him. He needs to return for the greater good unless you are going to put a stop to all the apathy, in which case then I need him to return for selfish reasons.”

Michael thinking she was being too bold cautioned her, “Nee-kee-tah.”

“No Michael don’t scold me, this is my Father also and I need to be frank.” She genuflected again, “With all due respect Father, Michael is capable of taking the most volatile of situations and disarming them with great expeditiousness, finesse and aplomb.”

Nikita named missions, including the Vacek Deep Blood, as examples of where Michael selfishly performed at his finest, and then continued, “Time and time again, he has overlooked his own personal regards for the good of the many. Logistics is a main concern in combating evil and it is rarely performed as soundly as when Michael is doing it. When he leads we live, simple as that.”

The Divine Creator asked, “So… do you want to tell me why you personally want him back?”

“Let’s see - because I love him. I never loved anyone before and Michael - well Michael is awfully easy to love with a passion that leaves one spent. There is something so raw about Michael, so uniquely his that living without him would not be worthwhile. But if that is what you choose for us, then leave me here too. We have both given our all and planned on continuing to do as much and we’ll continue running Section if that is what you need. How’s that for a bargain?”

“Michael, do you have anything to say?” The Creator asked without answering Nikita’s proposal.

“I do love Nikita.” Michael simply stated.

“Yes, yes, I remember she was the one person dead or alive you wanted to meet.”

“Actually Nikita is the only thing I want, the only reason I need – she is my inspiration and she completes me and isn’t that what will immortalize both of us, isn’t that the point of life?

"Ah love, one of my best creations."
