I have Rocky, who will be 10 on October 1, and two sheltie girls, Breezy who is 6 and Hannah, 7 months.

Rocky is not doing well, he has lymphoma. I call him my dog anatomy lesson, because you can see every bone in his body (and now that the cancer is in his kidney and bladder, you can see their outlines clearly also). He has one back leg that goes every which way except for the way he wants it to. But despite all that, he seems happy and eats well. When he was diagnosed in March, the vet said he had something like 4 - 6 weeks, but I guess Rocky didn't hear that part. We treasure every day with him as well, though there was a time when I just didn't see how I could stand seeing him change from a vibrant, beautiful dog to a frail old one -- I realize now that its part of the deal when you have pets.
