I would like to start a new topic on this chatboard about the book 'Over the Line' or also called 'Man About a Dog'. That was the book that the movie 'Obsession' (or also called 'The Hidden Room' in the US) was based on. I want to know if anyone has read the book and would like to discuss it. I have read it and thought that the Clive in the movie was a saint compared to his character in the book. I am wondering if they felt it necessary to 'soften' him a bit in the movie so as not to put everyone into shock. For that time period the subject could be quite shocking to an audience (of course not today though). If we decide to discuss the book in any detail, I would suggest putting a 'spoiler alert' at the top of your message so that the content will not spoil the book for anyone interested in reading it in the future. Anyone interested in having a discussion?
