Welcome to the new Robert Newton message board. Over the past year, we've had some interesting discussions on our old message board, which was hosted by InsideTheWeb; sadly, decreasing advertising revenues caused that service to be discontinued. This new service seems to be fairly similar, but with some nice added features.

I've downloaded and saved the messages from the old board, but the resulting Excel file is not very Web friendly. I'm hoping to get the messages into a format where I can post them in an archive. I'll let you know of the location as soon as I do.

In the meantime, let's start some new discussions here. And hope that Voy.com will keep going for a long time! (Be sure to visit their advertisers' sites!)

Message board archive is ready

The old message board has now been downloaded from InsideTheWeb.com and reformatted to bear some resemblance to the way it looked before (it downloaded as an Excel file!). I've posted it on the site; so far, you can access it from the index page at the main site (www.rit.edu/~sxd6221/newton) or at <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="www.rit.edu/~sxd6221/newton/oldboard.htm">www.rit.edu/~sxd6221/newton/oldboard.htm</a>. (I've also been forced to archive all the old guestbook entries; the only guestbook that will work for the foreseeable future is the one at the Homestead gallery. Unfortunately, with the loss of all these free services, the counter and the voting booth will also soon be lost. I'll keep working on replacing them.)

Anyway, please feel free to continue any of the old discussion threads here!

PS: What do you think of the new color scheme? I tried making it a little more, um, airy.
