Hi all! Pirates of the Caribbean was great just like all Disney movies...and just like Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney, there were two scenes exactly alike. The pirates in jail calling the dog to bring them the keys, and the pirates chasing the ladies around. Also, just like in "Return to Treasure Island" the governor's daughter "Elizabeth" was held for ransom. This movie was pure fun and a must see for all pirate movie lovers (like me).

True--I had forgotten about that. Not a very original plot device, huh? Unless the screenwriters were paying homage to the other movie. (And "Return to Treasure Island" wasn't even a Disney movie!)

Glad you saw the little tag at the end of the credits, Trisha. It was good, wasn't it? It actually tied up one of the loose ends I had been wondering about ... although I still have a few questions. But maybe they'll be answered in the sequel! My husband and I were the only people left in the theatre at the end of the credits, so I suspect a *lot* of people are missing that part! (I've never understood why other people aren't interested in seeing a movie's credits anyway ... but I'm a little strange, I know! I just love trivia--like where the movie was filmed, who wrote and performed the music, who was that great actor who played a certain character, what actor names I might recognize from some other movie, etc.)
