Apart from Keith Moon, do you know any other pop stars who are connected with pirates? Here are a few examples;
Adam Ant; Started the New Romantic pirate craze. One of the traks on "King of the Wild Frontier" was called "Jolly Roger"
Sex Pistols;"Friggin' in the Riggin'" and their infamous Jubilee Thames Cruise.
Culture Club; The video for "Karma Chameleon" feature a Missisippi riverboat pirate who ended up walking the plank!
Johnny Kidd and the Pirates
Fleetwoods; Lead singer Gretchen Christoper was born on the same day that Frederic would have been allowed to leave the Pirates of Penzance-Febuary 29th 1940.
Keith Richards; Prototype for Jack Sparrow.
Know any other examples?

I've been wracking my brains trying to think of any more and you've covered most of the ones I would have said. George Harrison also had a song called "The Pirate Song," and there's that ELP "Pirates" song. And, of course, the "Space Pirates" song that Keith Moon does the guest vocal on is technically performed by Alice Cooper. While not exactly pop music, there are also several groups dedicated to recreating pirate music and sea shanties; you can find links to their websites, along with tons of other cool pirate links, at http://www.noquartergiven.net/ports.htm.

BTW, I have to apologize to everyone for not keeping up with the website lately. We had a family crisis last year, but I'm gradually starting to get my life back, so I'll try to get to some much-needed updates very soon!
