I think it's incredibly important to make sure that you are doing your best to reach all of your students needs, which means your going to have to figure out how to "tap" into them and see what makes them tick. In teaching blocks I've done, I've really stressed on making sure that there is more then one way to do the same idea. For example, maybe your wanting to teach a kids a melody to sing. I would start by putting it on the board, which appeals to visual learners. Then while singing it, I would use hand symbols, which appeals to kinestic learners, etc. It's all about paying attention and never ceasing to "cease the moment" and reinforce ideas in numerous ways.
