The older male watches the younger dog's percision. He himself had done much a similar thing back when he was new to the farm, however- he had been with Jules since she first came to live on Roseway, so more often than not he met the horses as they came along. His eyes darted around, had he forgotten anything of importance? The barns.. the pastures.. the manor.. the cabins... the for- So!, he had forgotten something of importance, great importance. Craning his neck to look over his shoulder, the male's eyes focused on the forest opening. He turned quickly, sitting fast, dark eyes focused upon the thick trees. "There," he said, nose pointing in the forest's direction, "Many untamed, unruly species live within that clump of trees. Every night they grow bolder, more careless, less cautious. Every night- they become more relentless and ruthless. They come down every now and then and plan attacks that put the clumsy-ones or the mistress in danger. I've seen a handful of good dogs go down to them. Brute strength is a plus when challenging them.. but you must have what they lack- intelligence."
