Hi, if you dont have the qualifications you will be cheaper to employ and be doing the same job as somebody else but getting less money....I would volenteer for a while a few hours a week and sign on for an NVQ teaching assistant qualificatio. Then when something comes up in the school if you have shown willing and able as a volenteer you could apply for the job and carry on moving up the pay scale as you get more qualified and experienced.Good Luck.
