Subject: Becoming a Classroom assistant

 Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am graduating this year and would like to get onto a PGCE course, I was told its best to get experience via Classroom assistant work. Would I be able to become a Classroom assistant or do I need specific qualifications? any guidance would be appreciated as I have a great deal of interest in becoming a Teacher. Thankyou.
