I have been working with children towards the end of ks1 who have dyslexia.
Some of the children have been diagnosed with visual perception difficulties. I have been using worksheets from the visual skills builder cd. The children love the worksheets.
To help with number reversals I get the children to try and imitate themselves into the shape of a particular number. We also draw letters in the sand and make them with play dough. I find it particularly helpful to sit beside the child when we are drawing letters and numerals in the air.
When the children have to copy number stories etc from the white board we print theirs out so that there are no reversals and the children have more time to try and understand the sums.
