You have to give words of encouragement and praise constantly. As you know It's very diffciult to balance things up with children with learning difficulties or dyslexic.

However,lockers could be provided in the school to keep her books to prevent them from missing. A lesson plan could be collected from the teacher & work with them in a small group. This will make them more relax and work harder to their best ability, not feeling different from their peers. You will be surprised that they would start to build their confidence.

Advise the other student to place a ruler on the lines when reading to avoid loosing track. And may be you could recommend them for a social communication skills group to help them build their confidence & self esteem.
