Hi I have found in a couple of schools that i have worked in that the traffic light system works well. Basically red means the noise is far too loud, amber means that the noise level is getting a bit loud and green means the noise level is perfectly acceptable. I have found that the children find it second nature now to keep checking the colour of the lights and the noise level is very rarely at red.
