Date Posted: 12:56:01 01/28/04 Wed In reply to: Kibelle 's message, "Re: ~*~*arrival.*~*~" on 12:10:16 01/28/04 Wed ~+~*you kept backing up and backing up- until there was nowhere left to go. the shields were practically pressing up against you, and would soon crush you alive. thus, they were dropped. the force created by actually releasing them drove the Black Spirits back a bit, but did not keep them occupied for long- ad they were soon in an assault upon the group. you thrashed your arm at one to try and knock it away, and found that doing so was quite painful- their skin was like steel. you scrambled away, then heard a cry from behind you- again, coming from Parie as her 'sisters' and her scrambled out of the way. the Spirits had all come equipped with swords- which were now growing out of their forearms, and remaining latched to their upper wrists. before you got the chance to whitnes the use of those in full, a powerful light erupted from somewhere behind you- driving the artificial lights away, and sending the Black Spirits back into the shadows. you turned around to see Treyvan, holding a small glowing sphere of energy which dimmed and went out rather quickly. you found that it was the middle of the night now. there was more than enough moon light to illuminate the entire swamp- giving it a rather serene and calm feel. behind Treyvan stood a rather upset looking Kaeyana- who, aside from looking tired and worn like the others, had a small cut on her cheek. Kaia had gone off to see Ki as soon as she had arrived- as the two of them now shared private words at the edge of the water where you could not hear. there was one other present- somebody new, another Eyerling. another boy, about 6 feet even. you could tell by looking at him that he was a Saharian- the slightly pointed ears and big eyes gave it away. though, he did not have wings- probably because all of the Eyerlings had a unique set of wings used when fighting. you would have to wait to see what his looked like. he had soft, caring brown eyes- and shoulder length, breezy black hair. he was dressed a lot like the others- in all black. he, however, unlike Treyvan and Ki, only wore a black uniform- he did not have a trench coat. he did have a hood, like all of the others, attached to the back of his shirt. he was quite handsome in your opinion- he looked to be about 24 or 25. Kaeyana smiled at you, and pulled the new boy over to the group. he seemed more willing to be friendly than Ki had been.*~+~ Kaeyana- this is Jaysen...... he was the only one that we could free, but our numbers are growing again. ~+~*Jaysen did not say anything- he looked, up close, very tired, and very weak- like he had not slept in ages. he also looked partially starved, which was understandable- knowing where they had gone to free him. Jaysen silently made his way to Kaia and Ki, who were both rather happy to let him sit and talk with them. you actually saw Ki smile when he got there.*~+~ Kaeyana- Treyvan is going to heal him later..... we both have something in common. both of us left our loves behind when we got out. ~+~*she chuckled.*~+~ Kaeyana- ....we couldnt get deep enough into that place to find his love, or mine either. him and Morgan, they were together as soon as Treyvan picked her up. kind of like me and Maiko- he took care of me for so long..... we are going to try again when our strength returns.... ~+~*Treyvan came over towards you, and smiled slightly.*~+~ Treyvan- i apologize for our late return, and for not explaining the situation to you better. every Eyerling has something that sets them apart from the others, some quality that makes them special from the ordinary. Jaysen's is his ability to manipulate Spirits. we had to go for him when we got word that they were going to use him to attack a group of smaller, weaker Spirits that were living near the place where the others are being held. ~+~*he sighed.*~+~ Treyvan- and about Ki- im sorry, but we could not take him with us. one of our vows is to use our power only to protect others when we KNOW that they are in grave peril- that is why they cant help each other in that place.... but, Kibelle...... his power is to make people believe that there is something inside them, in their head or in their organs, that will kill them or eat them alive- thus making them think that they are in pain, and often causing them to.... well, you have seen already. he got caught, a while back- and those creatures used him to wipe out entire worlds in mete hours. if we had taken him with us, all of the curses placed upon him would have alerted the guards to our presence, and it would have started all over again- but we would all have been in captivity then. he is the youngest of us, of the Eyerlings- the others experience a given amount of guilt when something happens to him. we couldnt take him with us, partially for that reason. ~+~*he sighed again, and scratched the back of his head, then began to idly play with the long braid that had fallen over his shoulder. he fanned his wings slightly while speaking.*~+~ Treyvan- i thank you for putting up with him, not many can. they usually give up the first time his eyes change color.
