In the past two -three weeks a number of properties around us have been victims of some very petty crime.

My car has had a stone thrown at it damaging the door, the following week an egg has been thrown at it and now last night (Friday 10th December) someone has decided to paint pretty pictures on the paintwork with a stone (Oh what great fun they have had!!)
On speaking to some neighbours we have been informed of Christmas decorations being sabotaged and plants being dug up and thrown around.. A number of people have had students using Ffordd Dryden/Lamb Lane as a sort of short cut from some of the Dunvant pubs and they are now of the opinion that the damage is being caused by these NICE people. Is there anything that can be done as this petty crime spree on my car alone has cost me in Excess of £500 to put right. Are the police actively patrolloing the area? If there is anybody with any information I would be grateful.. If I am just one of many, then please come back to me and I will chase up with the police

first of all have you reported the incidents to the police ?. If not you need to other wise they cannot start their investigations. you need to telephone swansea central police station 456999 and explain to the operator the nature of the incident an officer will then be allocated to attend at your address and take full crime details the officer can then start a full investigation .

the police are activley patrolling the dunvant ,killay and surrounding areas and will continue to do so ,i will pass this iformation on to the other pcso's which cover the area in which these acts of criminal damage are occuring and hopefully the extra presence in the area might deter the culprits from causing more damage.

i must again emphasise that all incidents of damage should be reported to the police straight away so that investigations can start sooner rather than later.

Hello Mark. I was concerned to read your post, and as I am a possible neighbour I would be interested to know more. I am certainly not aware of trouble like this, so please do email me.
