aiyah, of course ler, s'pore is hoping to reap the multi-billion dollar
profit of bio-technology mah, that's why must show show a bit that organic
food is not so beneficial after all. and hor, who is so darn sure that GM
food is not harmful? there is no tests done yet, you know. and there's no
research on this leh, you know.

well well well. i find the sentence 'Organic Food is limited in variety as
well as more expensive' very interesting indeed. why is that so. first of
all, there is the rule of demand and supply. isn't it? second, organic food
should be limited becoz we eat what the land gives us. but now, we eat what
we squeeze from the land. that's why all the trouble of land disease, crop
disease, land and air pollution etc etc, starts. and that's why we need
pesticides and more pesticides to handle the land/crop diseases. and that's
why we need GM food becoz pesticides and whatever cides are getting more and
more useless against these alnd/crop diseases.

when thousands of acres of land are devoted to our excessive consumption
habits, what to do but do all these? and also, our excessive consuption
habits are also derived from these incessant and day in day out
advertisements of food. in addition, our human psychology tells us that
after a hard day's work , we should reward ourselves with good food, lor.
isn't it sad to see that human beings' level of feeling good has to be
connected with the destruction of earth?

as i mentioned, we may need to return to the practice that we eat what the
land gives us. becoz we need to respect and restore whatever the land
produces, and not squeezing the land dry to produce for our excessive eating
habits. although this somewhat seems suffering for us but this might be one
of the ways in which nature and the eco-system be restored lor.

so yeah, everyone might say: but hor, all things are GM now what, what can
be done leh? or 'but the world already like dat, we cannot turn back leh.

singaporeans can be very whimmy people.

well, 1) we may not turn the clock back for ourselves, at least turn it back
for our future generations.
2) let us be more knowledgable and more perceptive in what we eat and what
we think. be a mindful and perceptive person, the extra knowledge is good
for the overall development of a fuller human being, don't just whine and
whine all day about what cannot be done.
3) whatever we put inside our body, has an effect. so, think about it (short
run or long run).
