i have been a fan of miss williams, since she was miss america.
i was certainly miffed when the crown was taken from her. I could not understand why the miss america pageant took the crown from her, just because of some photos, oh big damn deal i thought.
i was really happy that suzette charles was miss america.
but, it wasn't the same. every once in a while i get
a little teary eyed, when the news bring up what happened.
i know it was many years ago, but still, you never get over it. i some times walk by the miss america star quotes and pictures in ac, and read what vanessa stated.
she is the real miss america and always will be.
hope she returns to ac real soon.
she paved the way for suzette and other miss americas after her and suzette charles.
i like her songs,movies tv shows, especially ugly betty. she is doing a kick ass job as whilhelmina. maybe she should play herself and whilhelmina; maybe work with the other vanessa williams (from melrose place).
we all love you vanessa.

I was just a little French man working in the USA, I will remember that day in NY at Madison Square Garden in the backstage when I have been asked for a photo shooting with Vanessa Williams and the white horse I was taking care of that won the championship! A fanatastic moment in my life to meet such a great person! She is not just a real beautiful woman but she also helped the Black community within the USA when she became Miss America, a title that she strongly deserved! I wish her the best in her life!

Could someone send this message to vanessa's web site. Because I don't know how. But I truely believe that as beutiful as she is, that she should pose for playboy. And here is why I think this could be the greatest thing for her to do. She was stripped of her Miss USA crown in 1984 for naked photos. But in stead of having it destroy her career, she did ok. They tried to shame her for taking, non-vulger pictures of her beautiful body! I think our country has come a long way in the past 20ty some odd years. And she is still super beautiful. I think if she did a playboy shoot, it would say a lot For black women, and just women in general, that they don't have to feel assamed about there bodys if some stupid pagent judges decide that you are wrong when you do something, that you believe in. She should prove that she is willing to stand up, behind her own decigions. She could prove, that even though she is 20+ years older, and has had 3 children, she is still super sexy! I would love to know what she sayes, and feels about doing a totally nude playboy shoot. Not to mention how it would make me feel! Hay Vannessa Think of how happy you could make Huge Hefner feel!

HIS FRIEND ASKED WHATS GOING ON WITH THAT ? HE THEN SAYS I DONT KNOW SHE HAS TO MUCH GOING ON IN HER LIFE RIGHT NOW,PLUS I DONT KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH *HE SAYS A LADIES NAME* BUT IF VANESSA COULD GIVE ME THE TIME THAT I WANT SO BAD WITH HER I WONT ABUSE IT WITH HER FINE ASS. I think its complete & utter horse sh*t that Ms. Williams was de-crowned so many years ago for harmlessly posing for playboy, which is considered by many to be a tasteful publication and yet this blond bimbo of a Miss USA Tara Conner, is given a second chance for her bad behavior which include drug and alcohol abuse, promiscuous inappropriate behavior, and pulling no shows Miss USA events. I wonder why she is given a second chance when in fact her behavior sends a terrible message to girls. Id like to know when being a drunk and drug addict became ok, and being nude is punishable. I understand there is a difference between Miss USA and Miss America but both pageants should hold the same standards for their representatives. Its great is Miss USA going to rehab to help her deal with her problems, but wow how humiliating for the USA she should be fired. By the way Vanessa totally rocks!

We all love animals but I think some people seriously need to chill out. You want/need to discuss this issue, do it in a single thread (in this one for instance), and in a mature way but there is no need to mess up MY forum with countless reposts on the same issue.
Man, Im coming home after a long day of work and have to read this BS just because V wore some fur. Was it even real fur? You are aware that fake fur can look and feel almost exactly like real fur does these days?
And even if it was real fur, which I agree shouldnt be used/wore, there are better ways to handle this issue than taking out your anger on a fansite forum.

P.S. BTW, Vanessa rarely wears fur. Ive been a fan for around 17 years and can remember maybe 4 occasions where she wore some fur. There are also more animals killed for food and by the destruction of natural habitat than for fur.

Dear Vanessa Wiliams And Miss America,
Last Friday we lost a legend and treasure, Buck O'Neil. Buck would have been 95 years old in November. He is known for much, including his compassion, kindness and enthusiasum for life. Buck often told stories about a different America and the greatness of overcomming imperfictions. He was the leadership behind the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The Negro Leagues were formed here in Kansas City. He played and coached in the Negro Leagues. Buck O'Neil was the first African American to manager in the Major Leagues. Last sumer he missed being inducted into baseballs Hall of Fame by one vote. Buck O'Neil deserves to be inducted into baseballs Hall of Fame.
Those of us who knew him and had the pleasure of spending time with him know that he not only needs to inducted to baseballs Hall of Fame, he deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of Great Americans.
I ask for your assistance and those who view your website to see that John "Buck" O'Neil receives the recogniton that he so rightly deserves. Thanks for your assistance and our very best of regards from the heartland of America.

Ok, so I got lucky enough to see Vanessa in Las Vegas in the FRONT ROW and the show was GREAT! EXCEPT --- How come she never looks at or addresses the audience? I was waiting so patiently for her to just look at the audience or talk to us, even once, and nothing...When she told a story, she continually stared off into the back of the theater...Is that stage fright or something? I felt like I could've watched that show on TV and it would've translated the same... sigh...
#2, Does anyone have an MP3 of Peel me a grape? I didn't buy the Very Best, because I have all the other songs except this one and she performed the hell out of it in Vegas, so I'd like a copy...anyone anyone? :-)

Hello to everyone. I just finished watching the behind the scenes clip for the photo shoot that TV guide did with the cast of ABC's UGLY BETTY. Miss Williams looks beautiful, regal, and confident throughout. Check it out for yourself. It is a sixteen minute piece. Towards the end of the clip they have a short Q&A with VW wherein she talks about her role. With the ET interview (which I didn't watch) and the TV Guide piece VW is being featured prominently in the promotion of the show. That is certainly great for all of us who have followed VW's career from the very beginning. I have been a fan since I watched her win the Miss America crown. She is of course the biggest name on the show. Of course the fabulous America Ferrara plays the title role. This looks to be the big hit that VW has been working hard for.
