Right boys the season is here at last and i just wanted to point out some selection details before we have our first fixture:
1. Teams are selected by me, botts and scouse mike
2. First XI takes priority
3. Selection is based on match performance, training attendance/performance and general attitude towards the club.
4. Every single member is considered for selection, no-one is excluded on any grounds other than as in point 3
5. Teams will be selected and then posted on this message board, on the AU board and individual players will be contacted where necessary.
6. Anyone who is selected must inform a member of the selection committee if they are unable to play at least two days in advance of the fixture.
7. Anyone who disagrees with selection must contact either me, mike or botts to discuss our decision.
8. All teams must wear shirt and club tie to any fixture and wear club gear where possible.
9. Match fees to be paid by every player this year will be �5 each. This is to pay for teas, umpires, transport, petrol etc - ANYONE WHO DOESNT PAY WILL NOT BE PICKED!!!!

Thats about it boys. Remember this year there is more competition for places than ever before. There are about 30 or so players going for 22 places! Furthermore it is important to note that everyone is playing for their place! This is a short season so pressure to perform is intense from the first game! There may be a friendly for the first XI against the grammar school in week one so watch this space. If anyone knows someone who would be prepared either to score or to prepare teas then let me know.
Lets win some fucking silverware for once!!! We are good enough to do the league double this year so dont let the club down.
