His green eyes flickered over the group, wondering how many would recognize him as the young rider who'd died the last time he'd flown to meet the enemy. He got a few wide-eyed looks, and a bemused smirk turned up the corners of his mouth. Kinapp reasserted M'kar's words with a proud bugle, and Keira too wondered who might notice that she'd grown a lot older. She could see several Lairlings, still unable to fly and fight, that had hatched with Kinapp. She put on a brave face, but inside, she was as nervous as a high-strung equine. It was her first Ghazard fight, and she could only remember what ill had befallen her brother in such a fight. A'rian looked the least enthusiastic of the trio. He hadn't the swordfighting skill Keira had acquired, but he was a decent combatant, heavy sword strapped securely to his belt. He had missed too much, he thought, as he reguarded the strange new white dragon, and noticed how... close... he seemed to be with Kinapp. And also... how close the rider seemed to be with Keira. He was soon distracted, as the party of now nineteen fighting dragons sprang to the skies, he among them. Another dragon joined them, a big blue recognizable as Clearwater's senior and only Queen. Taryn grinned down at the other riders, her Laroth (at least I think that's what her name was...) was far larger than the other colors, and rivaled the other blues for the title of largest. She was anxious to take flight. Some on the ground appeared disconcerted. There, with the proud fighters, flew the three queen dragons, two of them Lairleaders... Bulner's hope.
