Ariya caught her breath as the little brown clawed out of the pale egg shell. As the dragonet searched through the Probables, she knew who the brown wanted even before she called out, Rider! Running to cover the distance between them, she threw herself onto her knees to wrap her arms about the dragonet.
Dark eyes followed the pairing, almost enviously, but not quite. There were still plenty of eggs, he reasoned, and he had a very good chance of being chosen, given the number of Probables. His gaze was sharply averted as Kareen hissed, and he followed her glare to a crazily rocking egg that burst, freeing the white who tumbled onto the sand. The dragonet bugled, a wavering sound but powerful nonetheless for such a young one. Rider! I've Hatched! And Peretallin, now P'tal knew that the hatchling was his lifemate.
Talie nudged Rhomyan, eyes locked on the twin spinning eggs, "D'you think-" her sentence was cut off as the green and brown hatched simultaneously. "I knew it!" She dragged her dazed brother along by the hand, with a cry, "Oh, I'm coming!" They herded the dragonets out of the way of the rest of the Batch.
Rider, why do you hide from me? Liena let out a startled gasp, "But- but-" GO, LIENA!!! Both Damiena and Tailen urged her. She complied, nearly tripping down the stands to reach the little queen.
Deleria jumped in her seat, when the pleading cry of Rider, save me! filled her head. "Oh, D'rian," she murmured, and leaped up, running to the scared green, leaving a mystified D'rian behind.
It wasn't long before he, too, suddenly recieved his calling. The green strutted straight through, commanding his Batchmates to get out of his way. D'rian grinned. Just his kind of dragonet. So it was no surprise when the hatchling announced, Rider. I am Odyession.
Keira snapped to attention when a green squealed from the stands. Keira! Kinapp shouted just as the hatchling purred, Rider! I am Salay!
Dremalithas! Look, M'kar said urgently to his white. Uh... M'kar... hate to break it to ya, but I think he's looking for... /you/! Came the firm reply. It was true. The wet little white raised his head, saying Rider, I am Staphsalin. I ask you remove me from the sands before the other is hatched. He grabbed Tilana as he noticed another hatchling looking at her, and grinned stupidly at her as he greeted his Staphsalin. But before he could leave, there came a new voice in his head, accompanied by a bugle, Rider, I am Kipyen! So, khaki-pink and white dragonets in tow, he led the way to where food awaited them.
(OCC- then there was another pink, and you never mentioned a name, who was she paired to?)
