On Dec. 25 2003, the former prime minister of Madagascar has been sentenced to 12 years hard labor and fined $7 million for abuse of power. Also, The five year old saphire mine has cause alot of probmles, from increased child labor to coruption. Another sotry is, Madagascar brings back pre-colonial currency. Also, 5/13/2003 a riot broke out and the government was thought to be involed, 2/20/2003 600 exotic animal died and Prime minster died
