The US is concerned about the possibility of renewed hostilities between Ethiopia and Eritrea, which would have consequences for the people of the two countries in relations and programs with the US.


Members of Parliament From the Parliamentarian Network of the World Bank, who visited Ethiopia from January 14 to 18, said on Saturday the magnitude of Aids related problems in the country was "great and overwhelming".

The United Nations refugee and food relief agencies have sent staff to the town of Pochalla in southern Sudan to assess reports that thousands of Ethiopian and Sudanese Anuaks have fled there to escape inter-ethnic violence in western Ethiopia.
