Well here's the first summary of the current events!
here's what's happening in china ...
1)Sixteen local court officials and police officers in Inner Mongolia have being prosecuted for corruption. with the charge of taking bribes, detaining suspects illegally, and forcing confessions. Last year 79 police officers and judes were put in jail for those very same reasons.
2)China has put a ban on imports of poultry, from countries hit by the "bird flu". Live poultry and such products as eggs and feathers are all listed in China's ban against Vietnam, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and other affected countries.
3)Police in China detained the top editor and six other newspaper employees for their reporting on the nation's severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak.(don't you think that's kind of interseting when you'd think you'd want to know that there is a deadly outbreak in your country!!!! and the government is trying to cover it up!!!)
