>strong?
ANSWERS: The countries India Pakistan, and Nepal all have high Life Expectancy rates, and are not much farther behind the U.S. The Population of Education in Indi and Nepal are much higher than that of USA, and a little higher than Pakistan. Pakistan has a higher number of seats in Parliament held by women than USA, Inda, and Nepal.
>2. Excluding the US, are there any glaring desparities
>(big differences) between countries of the South Asia?
ANSWER: The only really big difference that I can see is the number of Seats in Parliament (as just mentioned above), is highest in Pakistan, and lowest in India and Nepal.
>3. Give an overall assessment of how South Asia
>appears to be doing in these areas of development.
ANSWERS: South Asia's GDP is not doing so well, and niether is it's HDI Ranking. Their population of education is doing well; lots of big numbers there. Adult Literacy Rate isn't horrible, but it isn't as good as it could be. And last, women's rights (represented by the seats in parliament held by women) are doing OK, better than Middle East, at least.
>4. Pick two stats and compare and contrast how South
>Asia is doing compared to the Middle East.
ANSWERS:
Life Expectancy: In the Middle Eeast, the Life Expectancy fluctuates among the countries, with Israel having the highest. For Egypt, Iran, and Libya, the numbers are quite low, especially compared to Israel. In South Asia, however, the numbers are much closer together, and higher at that. This shows that the average person lives longer, if living in South Asia than the Middle East (unless he/she lives in Israel).
Population of Education: In the Middle East, the Population of Education is extrememly low, excpet Iran, with a shocking high of about 20%. In South Asia, the countries' numbers are much closer together, and also higher at that. This shows that South Asia's government is spending more of their money on public education than the Middle East is.

That's it for now...bye!
