South Asia is strong in population under 15, and seats in parliment held by women.

Yes-Pakistan has more women in parliment and has a higher percentage of people using adequate sanitation.


South Asia has a very low rate of development in these areas. Only 63% of Pakistan uses adequate sanitation, while Nepal and India have only 28%.

Population under 15: On average, the ME and SA have the same percentages of people under 15. But if you look at the numbers, SA has much higher percentages than the ME.
Seats in parliment held by women: In SA and ME, there are countries with many seats held by women, and countries with few seats held by women. There are of course more women holding seats in SA than in ME (because of Islam) but what I found suprising was that Pakistan has the highest number of women in parliment in SA, even though it is a mainly muslim country.
