I think that -you- have been ripped off by a completely unfair illness and all of the physical and emotional pain and regret that it brings you.
But your Samson---not even something as difficult as this, even when it limits all that you wish that you could do with him---he still has one of the most amazing mothers ever given the title and all of the love in the world that you give him, all of the pride, and strength, wisdom and experience that is evident in every word here and obvious in the person that you are---and nothing can take that away or change that.
You are his heroine, in good times and bad, and in those times and everything in between, I bet not a second goes by that he doesn't feel blessed.
From you he is learns and is in awe of how to endure, how to fight the odds, how to cherish every moment, how to push through the bad and get absolutely everything from the moments where everything is possible.
He -is- blessed to have you, as much as you are to have him...believe that.
Feel better, my dear, and take good care of you, and never stop believing in all that you are to him, all that you give to him, how that means more than anything.
