I write to you pretty much every day, now, but I put the notes in your lunchbox. I write such things as, "Have a fabulous Friday!" and "Only 13 more days of Winter!" I think exclamation points are a little more prevalent than I usually like to see in my own writing, but it's not about me, and I haven't found a way yet to understate enthusiasm.

You asked for longer letters, and I have tried to comply, but I do not know what to say to you. If I told you the truth about how I feel, would it crush you? The weight of a mother's love can be something like eighty bazillion black holes. I'm sure it is heavy enough to suck the very life out of you. Especially when expressed where your peers might gain access to it.

God, I do not want to embarrass you.
