i. tell me what this means

he kissed and touched and I thought adultery
fearing lightning bolts from heaven or hell or somewhere not here
did it tingle? your angle thrillingly obvious
no but it was the alcohol
I defend, excuse
you laugh, shout
you have to live!
your long dark hair caressing your back
as you dance across the parking lot, oblivious

ii. and this

if I spoke fluent french
or had been to italy,
to both talland house and lighthouse
might things be any different?
just the cadence of your hey
and I feel weak�

ten years my senior, the sum of our difference
is your indifference
your experience weighing so much more than either you or i
yet the stones are mine
as I sink with silent awe beneath your Waves
