then back to Mabellina and Victor. Smiles then reaches into a pocket of her shirt and pulls out a peice of paper. She gazes longingly over the scribbled writing, thoughts drift to the earlier chase, cisions of the look of agony upon Jared's face haunts her and she shudders, closing her eys to try and block it out. She tries to swallow the lump rising in her throat but still tears spill over dark lashes, making tracks on her dirt stained face. She gazes blankly out the window, her face hiddin from sight. She stuffs the letter back into her shirt and wipes her eyes, she would not cry, she was strong and knew how to hide what she felt. Her face becomes a mask as she closes her eyes, pretending sleep.
