This is serious, Rose, but I don't want you to act like I've said anything. I'm letting you know in case anything happens, and I trust you to behave sensibly with this information. I don't want it spread around ... even to those you trust the most.

There are those ... unhappy ... with where I am and the position I hold. They wish to frighten me away by threatening those dear to me, because they don't want to attack me directly for fear of retribution from my father. They are around this place, watching my herd, and waiting for opportunities. I ask you just to make sure none unable to defend themselve well venture out of the valley alone, particularly children ... to keep an eye out ... but nothing else but just to hold the knowledge within. Through fear and panic they will win. This must be kept quiet, do you understand? Electric in particular musn't know, because I may not be able to reason with him.
