what freedom then? oh, careful steps
absent friends and stumbling trips
two years a balm - sight lost at three
at five spans came his time to flee
but lifes not bad. the sun is warm
the time for pity's been and gone
his face with white so boldly barred
brown coat, black wings, black ears - all scarred
and some cuts fresh. he doesn't mind it
freedoms truly where you find it
