The carriage is one of the grandest most would have ever seen, built of ebony and trimmed with gold. It is pulled by a 6-horse team of flea-bitten gray Percherons, all with gold ribbon braided into their manes and tails. The carriage is about 16 feet by 8 feet, with 2-and-a-half foot, gold-trimmed wheels. Tied to the top are a few bags, all made of the finest material.
The carriage pulls to a stop, and the driver, dressed in a red jacket, tan breeches, and tall black boots with a crest on the jacket, steps down and opens the carriage door and holds out his hand. A white-gloved hand reaches out and delicately places itself on his hand, and behind it comes a glorious lady. Her dress is of the finest silk, as are her gloves, and her dark hair is pulled back in a bun. She carries herself almost hautily, beautifully sculpted nose tilted up slightly.
Behind the carriage comes a young boy riding a white mare, gold ribbon also braided into her mane and tail. He rides the mare to walk behind the lady as she walks around, looking at the activity, then out to the hills. A small, satisfied smile appears on her lips. She turns to the driver. ..Thee has chosen well. I shall be very content living here in the home you have had built for me..
As the lady moves on, 3 children clambor out of the carriage: Two girls and one boy. Both girls are dressed in blue silk dresses, the boy in almost the same dress as the driver. Both girls look to be about 9, the boy 12.
