 Moments after losing his helmet, Cincinnati defenseman Mark Popovic showed off his cover-model looks while skating in all alone to beat Finley. And a few minutes later, Rome got his second goal to ice the issue.

The highlight of the final period was the fight card that began with Milwaukee rookie Kevin Klein, giving up 55 points and a serious grudge to Cincinnati's Dustin Penner. Klein's hit on the fellow freshman in Game 2 a week earlier kept the 245-pound winger sidelined until Friday night.

"I hit him pretty hard and he'd been out since," Klein said after the game. "That was my first pro fight, so it was good to get it out of the way."
