] Date Posted: 16:54:24 03/04/04 Thu In reply to: Belle 's message, "~*~Where oh where has my Little Dog Gone?~*~" on 08:24:07 03/02/04 Tue ...the sun shone its glorious beams upon the sheen of sweat glimmering over the buckskin pelt. the waves lapped at the stallions' hooves, mesmerizing the poor horse as if by enchanting him with a magical spell cast by the ocean gods themselves. the wind lazily tossed the mangled mane and tail about nonchalantly, as if without care. so entranced, the bronc heard nothing, saw nothing but the sea's waves. one after another after another... the mustang's head snapped up with a startled snort as he heard his mate whistle shrilly for his return. missing him already, eh? how thoughtful. slowly, he peeled himself away from the lovely waves, feeling almost pained as he withdrew from them. head down, he trod towards the mare, recognizing her silvery hide from afar. after all, how many mares were as beautiful as she? *hint hint, nudge nudge* kicking up his heels, having already forgotten about the magnificent waters, the stallion bolted towards her, nipping the dappled rump affectionately as he shot by... Catch me if you can, Belleypie! ...nothing like a fun jaunt across an island to rekindle your spirits in a snap... [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 17:00:54 03/04/04 Thu Blessed relief stole over the sterling mare as C gallivanted into view, alive and well just as she had hoped. Her sweet smile was instantly wiped from her labrums as he nipped her during a 'drive-by', leaving her standing in his wake with a dumbfounded look on her features. Welp, couldn't get back at him without catching him right? Right. Loosing a wild whoop of laughter, the mare whirled on her haunches to plummet after her mate, tresses carelessly tossed to the wind. Belleypie, hmmmm? She'd have to think on that one. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14:22:08 03/05/04 Fri ...birds twittered overhead, tossing their sweet voices into the skies without a care in the world. how free they must feel, being tossed about carelessly in the skies, forever cheery. then again, it must be a hard life, living in a hurry. when you're not searching for food, you're eating it. so much energy wasted, and then there's the part of mating every season. nevertheless, C was jolly, as usual, although he desired to be a bird. glancing quickly over his rump at the approaching mare, he plastered his ears against his skull and lengthened his stride, ebony tail streaming behind the streamlined body. let's just see her take a bit of this. she could never complain about getting out of shape, because this lil' buster always kept his mate on her toes, hehe... Awww, Silver Bells, what's takin' you so long? Tortoise caught your tail? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 12:34:10 03/07/04 Sun C wanted to be a bird? He was bird-brained enough without further help from Mother Nature. Noting his attempt at gaining more speed, the mare mimicked his movements to reduce the wind resistance. Air sluiced over her sleek body to send her tail into a tangled frenzy of cream-hued strands. The shock of her hooves slamming into earth resonated in her body, jarring her teeth and eliciting tremors in her flesh. A snort was her only reply to his taunt, the femme attempting to save her breath for the pursuit. Her dark eyes glinted, steeled with determination. Oh, he was in for it. Date Posted: 13:40:51 03/07/04 Sun ...haha, so this mare thought she could master The C? let's see her do it. taking his jolly old time as he sped across the sandy terrain, the stallion waited for the precise moment he would roll his plan into action. suddenly, as the edge of the cliff loomed nearer, the bronc lowered his hindquarters until the practically scraped the ground and then sprinted to the right, straight for the ocean below. the hill was tapering towards sea level in a fairly steep manner, but there was no daunting the C-meister. as he barreled straight for "doom", it seemed as if there was no way to save him, but then again, C is just crazy enough to do anything. about 3 lengths from the water, the beast slammed into park and then began trotting back towards Belle...only Belle wouldn't be expecting him to be running up the hill as she would be sprinting down with gravity forcing her to proceed faster, would she?... Date Posted: 13:58:42 03/11/04 Thu The chase was going well enough until C pulled one of his stunts. She should have expected this; she knew him. That didn't stop her heart from slamming into her ribs, frantically calling his name with every frenzied beat. Her pace increased, a surprising thing actually considering she had thought she was going as fast as she possibly could. The sterling faerie came to the edge of the cliff, completely forgetting to apply the brakes. And down she went, hooves scrambling to keep her rightside up on the precarious slope. Her gaze lifted to fix upon C's form, alive and well as usual. Her breath of relief had barely passed her lips when he suddenly turned to come barreling back toward her. Surprised to say the least, she dropped her haunches to slide unceremoniously on her backside, rocks digging painfully into her unmarred hide. ~*~C!~*~ she screeched, keeling onto her side to keep from sliding all the way down to the water. As she lay there, her obsidian gaze cut into him with murderous intent. He was so dead. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14:58:22 03/12/04 Fri ...sure he didn't think she was careless, daft, even downright stupid enough to think she could catch him, but the feeling of guilt panged his heart and the buckskin slowed to a gradual halt, staring down at his battered mate glaring with a most rueful look at him. uh-oh...he was in deep water now...figuratively of course. sure, those frisky little minnows were playful as they raced about in the water, curiously eyeing the massive creature that lay above them. he watched them, his intent gaze fixed upon the quick little rascals. then again...the guilt got sharper and he eventually sidled on over to his mate's side...sheepishly inching closer until he could reach her. gently nosing the rather livid creature, he prepared to dash to safety should some temper-tantrum transform his amiable mate into a belligerent warrior. after all, he didn't exactly push her off the cliff or anything; it was her own fault...technically. that didn't help the remorse that flooded the mustang's mind though. cautiously looking the silver-hued damsel in the eye, he spoke lowly and softly, in case she had suffered brain damage and needed him to fetch an aide... 'You alright? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:24:58 03/17/04 Wed Gingerly, she rolled over and scrambled to her feet, careful not to slide down further. ~*~I'm alright~*~ she said softly, wincing as the torn skin over her haunches began to sting. Her initial anger had faded away, leavnig her cold in the wake of its passing. Inching her way toward him, the mare extended her muzzle to gently brush against his shoulder. ~*~You scared me C~*~ she whispered, still able to taste the cold metallic fear that had gripped her so tightly. Lost in her own world, the sterling fae slowly ascended the steep incline until she was on level ground once more. The only thing she could see in her mind was her mate plunging over the side to meet his fate. Only, she had been a fool and he was fine all along. He was fine, he was fine... She had to keep telling herself that in hopes of driving away the terror that had settled over her. C was more precious to her than anything she could possibly imagine, even her own life. His death would have utterly destroyed her. He was fine... [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
